After the couple of posts on here about the classic “Lawrence of Arabia”, I decided to watch it and really enjoyed the movie. Days later I’m finding myself reading Wikipedia articles on the events portrayed.

Continuing the “films I really should see and mark off the list” trend, I started Citizen Kane. Is it just me or is this a really hard story to follow? Maybe it was late at night or I just wasn’t in the mood, but I’m finding it incredibly hard to watch. It drags, it’s difficult to understand, even the audio (which is remastered) is hard to understand.

Maybe it’s more of a time piece that movie buffs should get something out of. I get that it may be a technical achievement with camera work and stuff like that, but as a fun story/adventure, I’m 45 minutes in and I’ve turned it off.

Next up, Bridge over River Kwai.
