Been gone for a few days ,

Has anybody got hired to coach the Chinese Bandits...

Looks like Lincoln Riley is taking the whole staff with him lol. Their recruiting class is falling apart. I have a feeling this isn't going to go like Sooner fans think it's going to with Lincoln Riley leaving. It's in meltdown mode over in Soonerville and i'm just sitting back and laughing my ass off!

Oh no!! Not Grinch too?!?!?!? What ever will OU do? Good riddance to Taco Riley, Speed D and the Leach disciplehood. You don’t watch much college ball or you would notice Riley’s teams have been trending down, maybe not so much in conference by our record but we damn near lost another 4 games this year. We didn’t win the conference or even compete for the conference. Riley is running away before going to the SEC. He’s exactly what I’ve been calling him all year, a woke pu&&y. Keep in mind Riley has OU trending down with his players, these are all his recruits now.

I agree. Sooner fans wanting gone Riley got their wish. They can do a whole lot worse than Lincoln Riley. Odds are the OU coach isn't near as successful as Riley was.

Why is he "woke?"

I can understand being glad to see him go for egregious character issues (a la Tom Herman) but I don't/haven't seen anything of the sort from Riley. He is an offensive genius and being glad to see him go because you think he can't coach is ludicrous.

Apparently Rattler is a giant douche that nobody likes, football field or not. So he missed on that one. The other QB is a freshman and they still won 10 games. Riley can coach Bell...if you think differently you're just being a stubborn ass.

Sure Riley can coach some offense. He’s a players friend and a whiny pussy. It shows in his lack of discipline on both sides of the ball. It’s not just me, Riley and Rattler both got booed this year. That doesn’t sound like a fanbase behind their coach to me. How many games did we eek out this year?

Riley’s offense has been been figured out. Aranda certainly has his number and you know what that secret is? Being physical. Blowing up his Tre counter before it gets started, knocking his receivers off routes. Same thing Georgia, Alabama, LSU did. At $7.6 mil a year you aren’t being paid to be Big 12 good you have an expectation to play for NC’s. We’re not even competing for the conference this year in his 5th year.

It looks like we’re reinventing the wheel on o and D this year, no excuse for that at all. Riley was starting to feel heat from the fanbase and ran. We are trending the other direction and you will find very few Sooner fans upset with him leaving.

How is he a players friend? What did he do specifically? What did he whine about? I don't know, why I'm asking.

Finding a way to win football games is a sign of a good football team and quality staff Bell, wtf??? LOL. Eeking out games? Are you freaking serious? Wanna trade? Because Texas found a way to blow 4 straight HT leads.

Your second paragraph is pretty standard defensive football. This is not a secret to stopping any offense.

You sound like all those dip shit "We're Texas" fans from back in the day. Year 5 and we aren't even playing for the Conference Title. FOH with that bell, lol.

Careful what you wish for Bell...you just might get it.

Well you better buckle up for a couple years because it's about to get a lot worse at OU for the next couple of years. I have a feeling all the OU fans begging for Riley to leave are going to be wanting him back in a couple years. Recruits are jumping ship and I would bet there are going to be a pretty substantial amount of kids transfer at seasons end.

Lincoln is a top 5 coach in all of college football regardless of what you think.

All depends on the hire. If they hire Dykes, they'll be looking for a new guy in 4 years again IMO. I'm probably wrong, but just an opinion.

I don't see a guy out there right now that is an upgrade over Lincoln Riley. Bell is just taking him for granted at this point. If he thinks they are just going to easily replace a guy who is averaging 11 wins a year over the past 5 seasons he is going to be sadly mistaken.

You’re missing the point. Look at how we are trending. You don’t get it. He got booed by his own fanbase. You’re entitled to your opinion I’m entitled to mine, fair enough? In your scenario how do coaches ever get run off, you think they just keep winning like that? No they get stale like Riley started doing. Can you sit here and tell me Riley’s O hasn’t been figured out? Have I not been down on Riley this year? This isn’t something new for me since he left.

Personally with us headed to the SEC I like Aranda.

My opinion on Caleb Williams was also met with vehement disagreement by our OU faithful over here. I would assume they blame Riley for his lackluster performance rather than him being young, naive and inexperienced. 99% of athletes go through struggle at some point. The ones that adapt, adjust and overcome are the ones that have a chance to become special.

It isn't easy for anyone from start to finish.

They were 11th in scoring offense at 39 PPG and in the top 30 in yards per game and that's with starting a true freshman QB for the last 7 games of the season. I could see if you were making an argument for the defense. You just forgot what an offense looks like with a true freshman QB because you have been spoiled with 3 transfers that came in with ample game experience prior to coming to OU.

TCU is introducing Dykes at a news Conference today so I would guess that’s not going to happen but who knows

You’re missing the point again? Why do we have a true freshman starting? Did our starter get hurt? This was supposed to be THE YEAR as it turned out we took 3 steps back. Riley hit his ceiling at OU plain and simple. If you’re hailed as a qb guru and you have 5 star qb’s at your disposal and your offense is still discombobulated and damn near losing 4 more games, that’s on the qb/OC guru who makes $7.6 mil. It’s called accountability. There are no excuses at this point for Riley

Thank God Williams can scramble or he’d have been sacked many more times. It’s about scheme and the scheme played out in the Big 12

Well just wait because their ceiling is going to be about 9 games for the next 2-3 years. This is going to be a huge loss for OU and it's going to effect the program for a couple seasons IMO.

Bell, Riley did not "hit his ceiling" at OU. OU simply whiffed on Rattler. It happens to every program. IMO you're really overreacting on Riley. Mark my words, you're going to regret him leaving down the line at some point. As a Longhorn fan, I'm glad to see him leave OU. You guys can do a whole lot worse than Riley and I think that you're going to see that happen soon. IMO OU has actually overachieved in recent years and the fan base is spoiled. I think OU fans are about to get a big dose of reality.

He missed on Rattler, a QB in which ever single swinging dick sooner told us was going to win 2 Heismans. Rattler is a prima donna douche apparently.

I guess one 10-2 season with a 3rd place finish in conference gets you boo'd and fired.

My goodness fans are something else man.

You may be right but you’re looking at it from a whole other perspective. I get your point but let me ask you this: what did OU achieve this year that UT didn’t? A bowl game? In the end we still didn’t win the conference, we still didn’t win a playoff game or a NC. You’re acting like OU fans got rid of Riley. I’d be willing to bet the OU admins had an opportunity to match his offer but wouldn’t. I could be wrong but that’s generally how it works. If Riley didn’t hit his ceiling then explain to me how we’ve regressed considering recruiting has been better? Explain how in our 5th year Riley had to bench his project qb who btw was a preseason Heisman by every network, prognosticator, you name it. Explain to me how our defense has regressed after being told all the pieces are in place. Riley did not ultimately deliver is the bottom line. Sure he can be Big 12 good but he’s no closer to winning a playoff game or a NC than he was 5 years ago, he’s further from it as our season indicates.

Was it just Sooner fans really? Pretty selective memory hoss. Every prognosticator had Rattler the front runner, every one of them. That wasn’t just Sooner fans

It's quite funny. Very few fans realize that every fan base has the exact same character traits...and most of them are less than endearing.
The last 10 seasons have grounded me most definitely. You will never hear me griping about multiple conference championships and 12 win seasons. Along with 2 Heisman trophy winners.

Stoops got blown away in back to back BCS games and then went 8-4 in years 5, 6, 7. In year 5 he was absolutely killed in the Big 12 title game by KState. Losing 55-14 in a natty game they didn't belong in? Then following that up with an 8-4 season?

How does that happen? I mean...talk about not living up to expectations. And this guy is lauded.

Do you see Riley winning those in the SEC with Bama and Georgia there for starters? You need to understand it’s not like Texas and OU go in there and stake a claim at No. 1and No. 2. Riley left while the getting was good, can’t blame him there.

But we're not discussing people outside of Sooner nation. If we are, then we have to take into account every other fan, coach, journo that probably thinks your insane in your Riley take. Which is cool with me.

You must have missed the whole ‘ it’s time to go for Stopps” for the last 3 or 4 years of his tenure. I don’t want any Stoops back or Mark Stoops fir that matter

Well you implied that was an award already handed to him by Sooner fan I simply pointed out every prediction service and journalist said the same. And Riley didn’t get fired? He left

Which further proves my point. Your fan base is just like any other. Ungrateful and delusional.

Hell, your favorite coach was a cheating, enabling, douche that won a natty whilst putting his team on probation for cheating. Unreal
