Nobody saw A&M going into the SEC their first season and going 11-2 and knocking off Bama but they did.
I’m not even sure of who all is available. I like Aranda myself. I do find it interesting that UT fans would want to argue with me over my opinion of our now departed head coach. I wouldn’t envision myself doing that lol. I wouldn’t really care
I'm a/was a coach, so that's why I care. I like Riley. I love his creativity. I'm not a fan of fans though, lol.
While Riley has the reputation of a QB whisperer, which one of his stellar charges has he developed from scratch?
Mayfield, Murray, and Hurts were not thrown into the mix at OU as freshman. Question I would have is if Riley can start with an inexperienced QB and turn him into a Heisman candidate?

Those are the names I've seen. Also saw Kingsberry, Herman and Grinch mentioned but I don't think any of them are serious candidates for various reasons.

Personally, I think it’s more a sign of the irrelevance of our program than how much we care about other programs. If we were in the hunt for anything, we likely wouldn’t be analyzing Riley to this degree. 😀

They've had 3 decommits the last two days. They don't have any OL committed. Gee, I hope they find some good fortune...

I think he considered USC in his recruitment so he might end up there. With Riley at USC I’d bet
Bell, my comment isn't personal towards you in any way, but I think that your perspective is way off base. You seem to think that the sky was falling with OU going 10-2 and struggling in a few games this year. It happens to every program at some point. OU was very fortunate to have Riley and have the success that they had under him. He did everything but win a NC at OU. The guy can flat out coach. OU's loss is USC's gain. As I've said, you got your wish with Riley being gone. I would venture to say that OU is going to hit some hard times for several years starting next year. Mark my words.
You may be right but the majority of OU fans see the writing on the wall with Riley especially as we move into a new conference. Riley obviously see that coming up and opted to take his game out west to resurrect a struggling USC team. I don’t blame him because I’m not upset he’s gone. Obviously changing coaches 2 weeks before signing day can be a problem but one thing to remember. It’s not a choice of going 10-2 vs going or 4-7 or 6-6 or whatever if you bring in another coach. There are a lot of other coaches who can win games at OU too.
For me personally no Stoops or Leach guys, including Mark Stoops. No Kiffen. I have no idea what kind of HC Venables would be, he’s a good DC at Clemson but who knows if that translates. I still say Aranda if it was my choice
Rumors are circulating it’s going to be venables. Makes a lot of sense if it happens. Not sure it moves the needle really
