Bamas band isn't coming to the game because we are placing them in the upperdeck lol

I was trying to be funny. Cris Fowler is a shameless blue blood homer. That's all.

You mean you guys haven't noticed this about Fowler? He reminds of the old Monday Night Football Frank Gifford.

He tries to go overpower the moment. The good ones let the game come to them.

I doubt that anyone on here has heard of the comedian Joe Bob Briggs. I imagine that he would say about something like this. Another one I borrow from is Norman Chad.

Gee whiz I won't try to be 🤣 anymore.

And Gus Johnson is great.
Joe Bob's real name is John Blum. Movie critic at Dallas Times Herald, created a nom de plume for his 2nd column as the drive in movie critic. Got fired for his review of the "We are the world" concert as "we are the weird."

Rod Babers on the Horn does a good x's and o's breakdown every week. He says that Sark does not know how to scheme against the 3 safeties high defensive formation. Bama is going to run it. They way to beat it is by checking to the TB or TE which we can do. We have the talent.

1. Run the ball.

Pretty much what I expected around 25 pts avg. Is that running up the score to you? Hoping for a crazy W but I don't see more than 14-20 points loss which will keep it real if we show some flashes. Napier was coaching a really bad Lala team and Dantonio was a one of Saban's first CFP playoff games. I can come back here so you can gloat if we get pounded.

Let's play this out.

Texas v Bama at night in primetime- if we get mudholed, every recruit in America sees it.
If we get mudholed at 11am-- not as many see it.
If we win, it's the upset of the year no matter what time we play.
It's going to be hot and humid- which SHOULD play into our hands. Yes, it's hot and humid in Tuscaloosa too-- but Austin is a little worse.
Bama is USED to playing night games and getting fired up for them. Early morning game means we MIGHT catch them flat.
They travel to here so maybe the short night sleep helps us out.
Maybe, for the visiting bama team, we can get the "breakfast cooks/servers" from aggyland that were no shows for the Longhorn team a while back. Applewhite got sick, one star had a seizure on the bus ride to the stadium. The linemen were fueled by dry cereal, no milk and only some were lucky to get a jack in the box meal at a walk up at the drive thru window.

Outside of Bryce Young and their defensive line this Bama team is still breaking in a lot of new players. Their offensive line has a few guys only making their second start. I like our WRs matched up against their secondary. The only question is if the offensive line will give Quinn enough time to throw the ball.

I think we have the horses on offense to go toe to toe with them. I just don’t think our defense is going to hold their offense down. Bryce Young is just to good.

This is the type of game where we get paid a few mil to be practice dummies.

Miracles do happen though.... Appalachian St over Michigan ten-ish yrs ago is a good example.

I forget the exact details, but I remember hearing a story about Tom Herman keeping his UH team in the locker room against FSU (or OU), while FSU ran out on the field. He didn’t want his players to be intimidated by the size of the FSU players. Herman ended up winning that game.

I feel like the above is what Sark needs to do with his team lol. Bama guys are monsters. Either that, or fire his players up by making them start a fight with the bama players at midfield before the game!

This will take some great thinking to decipher.

I honestly hate this mentality. I want my team to act like dawgs. Regardless if out sized or out talented. I'll either take you down or die trying.

But that's just me.

Agreed. I don’t like that mentality either. But it seemed to have worked for Herman at UH lol.

If I'm the coach, I don't tell my players to back down from anyone. WE set the bar. WE set the tempo. WE punch them in the mouth right out of the tunnel first! I don't give a damn how big or bad someone is, YOU set the precedent and let them know right from the get-go that you will not be intimidated or back down from anyone! You may or may not lose the battle, but you damn sure won't go down without a fight and send a message to that team and the CFB world that your program is legit and will NOT be intimated by anyone! Let's effing go!! 🤘

Im hype now! Lol

Very much aware but having some talent doesn't stack up well against having all proven talent.

We've got a punchers chance so maybe we can land a few haymakers

regardless if we look forward maybe 2 years..i GUARANTEE its a game that matters in the long run. This game will make these young kids tough, will let them know what GOOD IS. they arnt going up against the number 2 ,3 ,10 ranked team in the country. They are playing the NUMBER 1 bad ass, huge body, physical af bama. They will have a learning experience and honestly i think they grow from it and begin the upward trend we all as Texas fans have been begging for...

The cherry on top would be that if we happen to win, fans not rush the field.

Gbck that old astroturf from the 90s. It was cut up qnd sold as souvenirs. That sh!t had MERSA on it. They didn't tell anybody though.

That was basically like playing on concrete. The turf burns were ridiculous. Glad that crap is gone. Not sure what MERSA is.

Basically, it's staph. Hard to clean all the blood, sweat & spit from fake grass so when someone gets rug burn on their elbows....bad things can happen.

That astroturf caused a ton of concussions as well. I hated playing on turf. I tore my ACL in college on a turf field without contact.

What are DO's strengths and weakness's?

And what does he need to against AL for us to have a chance?
