Looks like the big purses in Colorado got tired of the suckage since leaving the B12. No idea what the results will be but damn, that's the kind of attitude we needed from Charlie Strong.
Haven't heard about that. I did see the video of him addressing his players about it though.I hope he succeeds! JSU had a message for him due to his leaving which was classless. They really thought he wouldn't out grow their school?
He donated half of his remaining salary to the school to upgrade the football facilities. I believe it was like 600K. They had to of known he wasn't going to be there forever with the success he was having.I hope he succeeds! JSU had a message for him due to his leaving which was classless. Interesting for sure but that in itself might turn into an issue. Sanders has always been about Sanders, even as a HC. I mean....he has a documentary team following his every move. This Deion experiment is going to be very interesting to watch. Sounds like recruits really want to play for the guy. Whatever happens, I’m sure he will pull in lots of ratings and fan interest. I’ve never cared about CU football until now lol.
True, but his coaching record speaks for itself. Anyone else who was able to achieve that same success at a school like JSU would be getting calls from the big schools. I think he will do just fine at CU.Interesting for sure but that in itself might turn into an issue. Sanders has always been about Sanders, even as a HC. On the other hand, his larger than life persona might be what it takes for the buffs to step up. Kids will follow. I don't think the path to the top will be as smooth in big boy leagues though.
It was a song about leaving or something. I think it was playing either before the game or during halftime.Haven't heard about that. I did see the video of him addressing his players about it though.
If he just gets them consistently winning records I think that's a win. Not sure they're think NC's every year like us. I mean it's been since 2016 since they've had a winning season. I don't count 2020.Interesting for sure but that in itself might turn into an issue. Sanders has always been about Sanders, even as a HC. I mean....he has a documentary team following his every move.

I think it was the opposing teams band that was trolling Jackson State at halftime. It was a song about leaving or something. I think it was playing either before the game or during halftime.
It wasn't the band it was on a loud speaker at JSU though.I think it was the opposing teams band that was trolling Jackson State at halftime.
Oh yeah, I think he'll make a substantial improvement to their dgaf culture or get run off in a couple yrs. Then again, if he really turns them around he'll likely bolt to whichever school calls with higher prestige. Nothing shocking though because that's what most all coaches do.True, but his coaching record speaks for itself. I haven't read much about this. Bullet pts por favor?Oh, and btw-- the San Marcos recruiting UIL thing is going to court. If they 11 kids are re-enstated, kiss the UIL goodbye and say hello to open enrollment state wide.
Stuff like this has been going on for a long time. I grew up in Aledo and every year there's a couple of new stud athletes that just show up out of nowhere their freshman year in high school. The boosters there get their parents jobs within the school district so they are within the guidelines. There's all kinds of grey areas already. Johnathan Gray was a good example.11 kids that played together since 4th grade, on a "select" team- all from different parts of SA "area"-- except 1, who's from Chicago-
Some serious genetics involved in a few of them. You'll find out who once the trial starts.
QB- freshman- 6'3 genetically gifted- cannon.
RB- from Chicago
LB- 6'2-- will be D1 anywhere he wants
WRs- 6'1 and 6'3 and legit 4.5s as freshmen
OL- 6'6 about 290- a little sloppy but great feet
These are the core kids.
They all "ended up" going to San Marcos high.
SM coach accused of recruiting.
UIL rules kid ineligible for any "varsity" athletics.
Kids play freshman ball and are up 60-70 points in each game by halftime.
Lawyers are taking UIL to court saying that kids should be able to attend ANY school they want without losing any eligibility.
If courts rule in their favor (they probably will) this will turn Texas into a recruiting nuclear war.
I think it was the opposing teams band that was trolling Jackson State at halftime.
Pretty much.He said if you have big nuts show em.
If not tuck em and go.
You have to adjust to change. If not you're gonna get left behind. His persona will get him some stars for sure.Pretty much.
That whole "I'm comin'.." speech was designed to do 2 things-
1. Cater to Prime's ego whilst putting a team on notice.
2. Cater to top flight recruits that want ro be around prime.
