WME Sports and Underdog Fantasy are set to announce the launch of the “Underdog Rivalry Cup” -- a pair of 27-hole, Ryder Cup-style golf matches designed to raise money for NIL collectives at Texas (Texas One), Oklahoma (1Oklahoma), Ohio State (1870 Society) and Michigan (Champions Circle).

The event, which is being led by WME Sports’ NIL division, will feature head-to-head matchups between Texas and Oklahoma, and Michigan and Ohio State. The teams will be captained by All-Americans Colt McCoy (Texas), Sam Bradford (Oklahoma), Jake Butt (Michigan) and Bobby Carpenter (Ohio State). Donors will be able to fill out the rosters at a cost.

Sponsorships and donor participation sign-ups will be the catalysts for generating revenue for the collectives, given the motivation behind the event was to create an experiential way for donors to support their respective athletic departments directly beyond writing a check. Details about how the revenue will be distributed were not available at press time.

The Texas-OU match will be held at the Omni PGA National in Frisco, Texas, while the site for the Michigan-Ohio State event will be announced later.

WME Sports plans for this to be a recurring event that could include other schools.
