Bernie keeps on calling himself a Democratic Socialist with the "Democratic" portion intending to soften the socialist part. Communism and Socialism may appear to be identical but there are differences. It all comes down to does a person received something based on their "effort" or "need"
Bernie preaches about going after the big corporations. He also preaches about giving away everything but the kitchen sink.....health care, education, student debt elimination etc.
I think it should be made perfectly clear that Bernie may call himself a Socialist but at the core he is a communist. Look at the communist phrase: from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs. This is exactly what Bernie wants. He isn't talking about people getting their fair share based on their efforts....he is focused on their needs.
