Connor Williams

I doubt it helps.
I'd take a Connor Williams who hasn't played since week 3 than who we have over there now. Might as well be a turnstile on the edges. I think we get better on both sides because you can move the LT back to RT where he isn't as much of a liability.

He's trying to get his dollars up but fine with me. #75 Nickelson might was well be in a wheelchair. He's a giraffe on rollerskates. That's how effective he is. Maybe our QBs will have more than 0.5 seconds to throw now.

Tough to stay conditioned for a game like these last two when you've been sidelined. I hope he gets meaningful snaps.

It's not just his talent that we need on the field. He's one of our leaders, someone who is respected by his teammates. He can stabilize our ol.

2 things.

1. If he's not healthy, it could hurt us more.
2. If he's not healthy and gets hurt again, his career could be over.

I know Williams is consider a top 10 pick by most, but any chance he’s considering coming back? Would make the lack of OL pickups in this recruiting class so far make some sense. It doesn’t happen a lot, but there are a handfull of guys who just want to play their Sr year.

I don't think he's a top 10 pick being hurt all year. I doubt he comes back regardless but I'd be shocked if he goes in the top 10 after not playing at all.

He's still part of this team and is on scholarship. If he's healthy enough to play he needs to play.

ha.

If he's my son I'm telling him to stay off the field. You want to hold his scholarship back? Great. He'll remember that when he gets drafted and is asked to represent the university.

I think if he has a good combine he will still go top 10-15. Teams need offensive lineman in a bad way. They usually go higher because of that. Similar to QBs.

That's why I said "if he's healthy enough to play". If he's not ready to go then it would be stupid for him to rush back, but if he's fine he should play. Everyone of the players could get hurt on any play. If he's healthy that would be like Malik or any other player say "I'm not going to risk getting hurt and sit out for the rest of the year". I don't think it's right to quit on your teammates if you are ready to go.

It’s in everyone’s best interest for him to finish out the season strong on the field.
