Couple random notes ...
I've heard the interview with Gilbert went very, very well. Apparently Gilbert was "beaming and smiling ear to ear" when walking around the football offices.
I believe he leaves town here pretty soon. Not sure on this, but I also believe he came to Austin while out on the recruiting trail for Tulsa so he basically flew in at the last minute with little to no preparation.
Charlie Strong obviously is the main guy on the visit, but I think Jay Norvell may have also been involved.
Very low-key yet productive visit. Whereas the Cumbie visit was more formal and had Cumbie's wife and Charlie's wife involved in the visit, this was more informal with Gilbert coming in at the last minute.
