Again, this is part of the problem. Chip is giving information and everybody runs witht the story as if it is official university press release. I have no problem with Chip. He has access and is close to all Longhorn news information and I respect that. But, it disrupts the process of interviewing ... It is just exhausting.

He has access and is close to all Longhorn news information and I respect that. But, it disrupts the process of interviewing ... It is just exhausting.

I have no clue why boosters and Texas insiders don't respect the fact that all of these potential coaches have current jobs and teams that they have a responsibility to. I wish they would show some damn discretion by not running their mouths to anybody that will listen. It puts these coaches in very uncomfortable predicaments with their bosses, with their players and with their fans. Then the media start hounding these coaches. All this is very distracting to a potential candidate to where I can understand them saying "F it".

Ultimately, Texas is the big lose because it spooks away quality candidates.

I have zero concern for NFL coaches, for them this is a business their players know this and will do their job like they always do. If we are looking at the NFL ranks then that is just business as usual for them.

For the college ranks, I completely agree. But there is really only two guys I'd even talk to at this point, and they are Sweeney and Herman.

We know Herman is ours if we want him so the idea is to make this as quick as possible and make the offer so as to not screw things up with our sure thing.
