Please explain. QE was playing terrible against Georgia and Manning was brought in.
[

You're talking about Georgia beating Texas when I was talking about a Kentucky team that is good on defense that lost to Georgia by one point. It's two different conversations. Texas came out flat against Georgia. Arch was brought in, ran three plays and looked lost and everybody wants this freshman to come in like they don't remember the days of Shane bushel or Tyrone swoops. If Quinn's healthy, he's our best bet when he's injured. Sure you should put in Arch

When you really look at it, the point I was trying to make ultimately was look back at the past 10 years and lately we've been complaining about small things. While we're currently 10 and 1 for the second year in a row when 10 years ago, we could barely get to eight wins. I'm just saying it's good to be a Texas fan right now and we should count our blessings and enjoy the small things when back in the day we would kill to be in this spot.

In the past when are off and struggled? Our defense couldn't win the game for us and now we have a defense that is elite and can win if we just hold on to the ball and eliminate the small mistakes. And I'm loving that we have a great defense right now

I don’t want to lose to Aggy.

Manning is our best option to win.

Manning was brought in to the Georgia game after Texas was down by 3 scores. Georgia was pinning their ears back on defense, and rushing the Quarterback on every play.

with all do respect, i disagree. I dont want manning in on the road against aggy. thats a lot of pressure for a freshman qb in that type of game. If quinn is over 80 percent healthy, you play him.

I disagree with you. Arch is not a true freshman, he is a second year player at Texas, who has won in the SEC this season, and this is the final game of 11 game regular season. I would rather have him play now, than QE get injured in playoffs (heaven forbid) and Manning comes in then.

well, thats fine to me you disagree lol :)

cheers on the win brother

I get what you’re saying, but I also remember all those 10 wins seasons that we didn’t put any hardware on the shelves. Winning is great. Not being able to win championships is not so great. Being right on the cusp of actually greatness only gets you so far…. Ask Mack Brown.

I just can’t apologize for wanting to see these guys bring some trophies home, when we know they have the talent and ability to do so. If they weren’t at that level it would be one thing. But, they are. The consternation comes from understanding that making stupid mistakes will lead to them not reaching their potential.

I think I could probably speak for everyone by saying that we want what’s best for this team. We want them to be successful, because we know they’re good, and they’ve busted their asses for it. But they only deserve it if they actually show up and do it on the field of play.

I’m not down on the team, but I think it’s fair to be disappointed in disappointing things when they happen. That just my 2 cents, I could be wrong….

I'm not going to lie, I sat on my couch for the majority of the second half yelling at my television that Sark needs to "PUT ARCH IN THE GAME."

His response was a clear and present middle finger to my face with an 8 minute touchdown drive which had 15 straight running plays.

I trust the coach, i trust the defense, but i have very little trust in QB1 or Bert Auburn. Which makes me feel very leery about the next month of football.

I see where you’re coming from, weevilcatch. Try to remember that we’ve had our share of injuries this year too. Overcoming them is a part of the game.

My dude- QE is obviously not well.

Yes. We scraped out a win. But-- what happens if Kentucky decides to backside corner blitz and knocks QE out of the game---- when he didn't have to be in there?
Does Sark look Smart at this point?

It was obvious to everyone in the viewing audience that QE was either hurt or injured.
Keeping him in the game ran the risk of greatly diminishing our chances next week against aggy. Thus greatly diminishing our chances against a playoff berth.
Sark was being bullheaded tonight. There's no other explanation. QE is not well. Period.

To be fair, Arch could have just handed the ball off too. 🤷‍♂️
Very true. I think this might have been QEs decision. Last collegiate homegame and he knows the rumblings about being injury prone. Maybe he wanted to have a Michael Jordan "played through it" moment.

This is when the HC should have made an executive decision for the team, not a players draft stock. But what do we know.....

I think I will eat some M&Ms (to hopefully stand for the 2 Longhorn qbs last name initials that have beat the aggys at collie field the last 2 times), while burning a green Lady of Guadalupe candle and holding my burnt orange rabbits foot, during the game.🤘🏻

Oh for sure. Just saying Michigan is shit, we’ve been fortunate with other teams injured players, QBs, etc.

You have to be fortunate to win natty’s.

We need QE to figure it the hell out as well
I’ve seen defenses we’ve had get absolutely obliterated by below average QBs every single week. Last year comes to mind. This defense is really damn good.

Every time I come to this board on Sunday morning I remember why I stay off on game days now. Way to much damn negativity.

Negativity or reality?

Because the reality we saw yesterday was an injured Quinn Ewers that---but for one of the best defenses in the country- almost handed a win away to Kentucky.
I saw running backs that continue to fumble the damn football. We had 5 fumbles yesterday.
5.
Is that negative or reality?
I watched a Kentucky QB go 10/18 for 160 yards and no TDs with 1 int and have a 67.1 QB rating for the game--
While our "stud" 1st rounder went 20/31 for 191 yards and 2 TDs and have a 67.6 QB rating......

Now-- call me crazy- but the reality is- that fvcking sucks a warehouse full of donkey dicks.

You want to spend then next 365 days having to listen to stoooooopid aggy non-stop? Play like this next weekend. They'll mop the floor with this team.
The reality was that QE was either hurt or injured. And if he was hurt, he was hurt to the point that he couldn't play. Were we the only ones that could see this? No-- the announcer saw it. The press today are talking about it. The talking heads this morning are talking about it. Something is wrong with the kid.

And Sark kept running him out there- risking his health- risking the season- risking his draft status- and only by blind luck did he escape without serious injury.

I get that you don't like negativity. Nobody does.
But there's a difference between being negative and being realistic.
Yesterday- the reality was that QE had something wrong with him and we damn near gave that game away.

QE needs to transfer if he doesn’t leave for the NFL this season.

If QE remains Texas at next season, and Manning leaves for another team, I will be pissed off.

Won’t happen. Quinn has done all he can do in college and will enter the draft after this year.

Sark is using him as a game manager at this point and so far the formula has worked, but I don’t think we can use that formula for A&M. They will go full jihad like Georgia did.
