Swinney's salary will continue to grow, too, as the deal runs through 2021 and will pay him an average of $5.125 million per year on a prorated basis. As for the buyout, it would be really expensive for Clemson to fire Dabo right now! Swinney's buyout is $20 million for 2016 and 2017.
Let me answer that for you. Hell no. Do not have that kind of money. But Dabo isn't money hungry. I'm sorry to say, but why would any coach want to go through what Mack and Charlie have had to go through?Yeah if the Horns put down say 60 million could Clemson match that? Not sure they could.
Never said he was coming. My opinion is he's going to hang at Clemson till Saban leaves. Do think he would listen though. You guys are funny. Dabo isn't coming to Texas.
We lost a ton of playmakers after last year too, and going to the playoff again. Dabo has gotten us to the point where we are reloading, not rebuilding. Minus the question mark for QB next season (even though we have 3 behind DW now, and a 5* coming in), we are loaded at every position. Not worried about WR.A coach that is losing most of his playmakers and he can make money taking over and up in coming roster in the best recruiting ground in country.
So if Dabo isn't money hungry and Is willing to talk to Texas wouldn't that suggest he's interested and not trying to squeeze Clemson?
