I mean he looks like one.

Talks like one

Sounds like one

Thinks like one

Probably smells like one

Oh what could have been

I’m still waiting for Dabo to retire. He said he was gonna quit coaching if college athletes got paid… the guy is a fraud. Don’t understand how he recruits so well

Smarts and $? Dabo's got a few years to go. He's one of two coaches that have Nick's number.

Nah. I don’t think hed be very good in one of the pressure cooker jobs. He’s as thin skinned as Jimbo
Welll he’s taken his teams to a couple national championship games and has won one. Yeah you’re right he’s not ready for a pressure cooker job.

Good thing you’re not an AD because your judgment of coaching isn’t very good.

Never said he wasn’t a good coach, but coaching at Clemson is a little different than coaching at one of the blue bloods. He’s a little thin skinned and I think he would have a rough time coming in to a job that had high(sometimes unreasonable) expectations.

Disagree 100%

He’s probably the best active CFB head coach next to Saban.

Again his ability as a football coach is not in question, but here is the difference between coaching at Clemson and coaching at Alabama, Texas, etc.

At Clemson Dabo is a god. He’s spent the majority of his coaching career as an assistant or HC at Clemson. He’s taken Clemson to heights they’ve never been to before. They’ve had good teams in the past but never the sustained decades long success you see now. Dabo will never be questioned at Clemson because well it will never get any better for them.

But when your Nick Saban you’ve won 6 national titles ar Alabama. The first time he wins 9-10 games instead of 11-12 you will start to hear boosters go “idk maybe the old man is losing it maybe we should go get(insert name here) and Saban knows that too which is why his retirement will come before that happens imo.

look at how fast the Texas boosters turned on Mack and tried to get Saban. That’s the kind of thing Dabo doesn’t have to worry about at Clemson and it takes a different type of guy to succeed in that environment.

Dabo needs to evolve or he is going to end up like Mack. NIL and the Portal have changed things and Dabo isn't taking advantage of that. He said something like if I go to the portal that means I don't believe in the guys I recruited. Well he doesn't have the same talent he used to have. DJ hasn't lived up to the hype, and he doesn't have the Defensive guys he used to have.

dj isn't good. but the defense is pretty salty. if he ever goes with klubnick, they could win it again.

He's a very good coach but I still don't like him.

But his competition is week.

Suppose Sark comes down with an illness that forces him to retire and Dabo is miraculously available and interested in coaching the UT football program. You’re the AD. Do you offer him the job? If not, what other coaches do you consider?

If he plays that Klubnik kid they are going to be really damn good next year. That kid is a stud!
