* Take photos and/or videos of your property before, during and after the storm. These may become important for your pending lawsuit.
* Protect your property from damage as best you can. If your claim has been settled and you suffer new damage that was not considered in the settlement, the settlement does not prevent you from filing a new claim for damages caused directly by Storm Francine.
* Save your receipts for temporary repairs to protect your home from suffering additional damages.
* Locate your current policy documents and keep them protected.
* Protect your family and yourself by following instructions of your local authorities.
