SPOILER ALERT!

POD PART 1: recap of the Offensive Portion of the Deep Dig column

You work with Ketch. What's a play cousin? Have you ever had a play cousin or two??
I don't want to even imagine his childhood. @UTlonghorn

- don't know the background of the Ketchum "play cousin" scandal or what a play cousin is
- if I had to guess, I'd say it sounds like someone you grow up with who may not be family but you call a cousion
- I had a best friend growing up and we would call each other cousins because that's sort of the relationship we had. Our dads were best friends and my dad was the godfather of him and his kids. We would visit them in the summer in Houston and they'd visit us in Austin, etc.
- What do you call this person, his brother and sister, etc? My godfather's kids? How do you introduce them to people? Go into a long story about your dads, etc? No, you call them cousins and move on.

Why do dogs lick their butts? Do they know something we don't know? @WapitiHorn

- anyone who's ever had dachshunds knows that this is a symptom of irritated anal glands
- the reason they have these sacs of differing sizes and shapes is because they are animals in nature and the scents from them identify certain things about them, if they're male, female, etc. they also lend a unique scent to their stool
- the anal sacs normally empty as the dog goes to the bathroom
- lots of things can cause issues with them, in all dogs, loose stools over a prolonged period is like to cause a backup in the gland that could get impacted and cause major discomfort. the placement of the sacs is more conducive to impaction in smaller breeds and some just seem predisposed like Basset Hounds, Beagles, etc.
- think about it, I'll bet when picture a dog licking on his ass from your collective memory, a smaller breed is the first image conjured

In one word, what is standing between you and your biggest goal? @Hornius Emeritus

- Nothing.

If you were faced with life in prison, would you hang yourself? @Bodhi Sattva

- It's an unimaginable scenario
- If I was in solitary confinement, then I probably would want to die, yes; at that point, you are already dead for all intents and purposes
- even still, I'm not sure I could pull the trigger on killing myself - it takes a lot of thought on how to pull that off with the limited tools available to you in isolation
- if i were just in jail for life, I wouldn't kill myself, especially if I was innocent. The fact is I'll probably be eligible to get out on parole at some point for good behavior
- the best way to kill yourself in jail is suicide by attempted breakout, in my opinion
- this way, you basically have two outcomes: 1) you die like you wanted or 2) you manage somehow to get the hell out of there - where it the downside?

Well first - I would like an update on the latest rumors surrounding D'Onta Foreman's draft status. @Grey_Gordon

- It's the same, I still think he'll go in the Top 50 or so, have trouble thinking he'll fall past WAS in Round 2. He's been on visits to over a dozen teams with more this week, actually has a second visit w/ PATS this week after having private workout with BB here on campus but they don't pick until 72.

Toneil Carter. Do you think he flashed enough in the spring game in the passing game to be considered a viable 3rd down receiver out of the backfield for SB or Sam in this new TH offense? @mirvin

- Yes, eventually
- YAco and YAca stats from the Deep Dig

Why is there so much hate for LeBron when you consider, historically, most top 5-10 players were well liked during their playing career? That's not to say those top 5-10 players weren't hated by their rivals, just that they weren't as hated by the neutral NBA fans as much. @McLovin327

- We live in the age of social media
- Everyone is a professional critic, everyone thinks their opinions should matter and need to be heard by everyone they want them heard by, and the microscope is on everyone
- There is a heaping, giant herd of idiots like a mob ready to swoop in and try to ruin anyone random person's life, that is the internet and the trolls are real
- all athletes and celebrities are under a microscope these days, if we have twitter during the time of MJ, I have a feeling he'd be remembered a lot differently
- Jordan's teammates hated him, he's sort of an asshole who tells people he wants $15,000 to take a photo with them, he punched Steve Kerr in the face, he called Muggsy Bogues a "****ing midget," and he tried to cheat in a game of cards with one of his N Carolina teammates grandmothers while she was in the bathroom!

What is the worst genre of music? Why? @SmokeyIII

- it is new Nashville country
- middle-America, teen girl, bubble-gum hickpop
- it's horrible, I've been in sessions with the writers who make this crap, even they think it's a joke
- tell stories of how publishing houses work and how little of the music most people sing is actually written by them
- for all the hate of Luke Bryan he's at least getting rich AF because he's a shitty musician and BUSINESSMAN who knows you don't have to be a good musician to write this shit music, so he keeps his own publishing money and his own performing money. $$$ cha-ching

Can coaches teach a heavy footed OL to be quicker on his feet?
Are there off-season S&C drills to develop OL quickness? @oblood

- some stuff with the feet is just natural and can't be taught
- almost like a reflex or a twitch or something with great feet on an offensive tackle
- Wickline called it its own sort of "finesse"
- Drills you can do:
5 points (dot drill)
figure 8 tennis ball drill (help with ankle bend that lends to more athletic feet/balance)
4 corners
mirror drill
anything getting them moving laterally, side-to-side, backward and in all directions,
- don't want to work on feet in straight forward setting only like just through the chute, in bag drills, in board drills or on the ladder. The ladder drills that would help an OL with his feet would be to maybe incorporate the ladder in with the four-corners drill

You are on a first date with someone, and he/she orders the most expensive prime cut steak on the menu, and they request it well done. When it arrives, they put ketchup on it and proceed to eat it. What is the proper response? @Her costar in the beaver picture

- There's only one response, call the waiter over and say, "Sir - the lady will take the check whenever you're ready I am out of here."
