Defend home turf!

Texas gets it done if the defense plays like it has been playing. And the offense doesn't turn the ball over.

K-State is one of the few teams Texas has a losing record against. The Horns are 7-10, all time, vs. the Wildcats, and 4-7 vs. Snyder-coached KSU teams.

However, The Longhorns have successfully defended DKR stadium the last 2 times.

Time to win another. Right the ship.

I think this is very important.

We need to make DKR a place teams don't want to come to play.

I 100% agree. I hate how nobody is afraid to play in Austin anymore. That includes the fans. Just not as loud, not as rowdy ( I know there has been little to cheer for as of late). I want that hostile Environment back and a home field winning streak.

As far as the Game itself tonight, the Texas Offense needs a coming out party tonight in a bad way. We have Ou and OSU coming up and as good as our D is playing we have to score more points if we want to win in the Big 12.

I never expect Texas to be a truly hostile environment. I attended from 06-10, the middle of the most successful stretch in Texas history. That stadium could get going at times, and certainly did during big situations in big games but the fan base just isn't such that it will be going crazy for small opponents or if the game isn't close.

I'm watching the replay and it appears that I need to give Chris Warren some love. With the limited number of carries he gets,it would be easy for him to "check out", but as I'm watching I continuously am seeing him downfield trying to get additional blocks and provide support to receivers attempting to get extra yards. Glad to see him not pout about not getting the carries that he got even last year.

I submit that the period 1961 to 1972 was longer and more successful( 3 Nattys and a bump off of Nat champ Alabama in the 1964 bowl game).....just a point of reference.....

No doubt that these two periods of time represent the pinnacle of Texas football and I would definitely agree with you if it weren't for 1965-1967. What happened those 3 seasons? I wasn't alive to see it.

65-67....oh yeah....we went 6-4,6-4,6-4.....but strangely enough, at some time during each of those years Texas was ranked in the top 10. I still think that by the end of 1968, we might have had the best team of all. Street took over for Bradley after we were 0-1-1, and we won the next 30 games in a row.

In 65, Nobis had a knee blown out by a dirty chop block against Indiana
