I'll have a bit more in the War Room tonight, but Rivals.com's Nick Krueger talked to DeMarvin Leal after Converse Judson's spring game on Wednesday and Leal said he's keeping a bit of an open mind. He did say, as he has previously, that he's 100 percent with his A&M commitment, but Krueger said in listening to Leal talk he does feel the door is open for a school like Texas (Leal took a UT official visit in early May).
"It’s an opportunity, but a lot of work needs to be done. But it's not like he’s not completely turned off by Texas or anyone else that’s seriously on him," Krueger said.
As you'd expect, A&M is doing everything it can to keep Leal locked in, including sending ace recruiters Terry Price and Tim Brewster to the spring game. This will be one in which Texas will have to keep chipping away and hope to win out in the long run, but the good news is that it does sound like there is a window of opportunity.
