Texas senior right tackle Denzel Okafor has withdrawn his name from the transfer portal portal, according to my sources.
Okafor entered the portal two weeks ago, and had the option of leaving as a grad transfer. However, after Tom Herman and Longhorn staff members had conversations with Okafor and his family, the right tackle decided to stay at Texas.
This is not the first player this offseason to have second thoughts about leaving Texas.
Texas linebacker Juwan Mitchell entered the transfer portal in January, but changed his mind after meeting with Herman’s new staff members.
Okafor is currently the starting right tackle, and his decision to remain pushes Christian Jones back to the No.2 on the depth chart.
