I thought the Musers segment this morning on elbow injuries in baseball was fascinating. It was a really good discussion. I think Craig said 36 starting MLB pitchers are on the IL with an arm injury. (1) It is all about pitchers and pitching coaches chasing velocity and high spin rates. (2) I couldn’t believe they didn’t bring up the number of games that (select) kids are playing these days. (3) I thought about how Texas has only 1 pitcher (LBJ) that can throw 95+ and how the lack of velocity is just killing this pitching staff.
