The Browns promised last month, without explicitly saying it, that they would release Johnny Manziel when the new league year began. It took about a day and a half longer than expected, but that inevitable move finally came Friday.

“We’ve been clear about expectations for our players on and off the field. Johnny’s continual involvement in incidents that run counter to those expectations undermines the hard work of his teammates and the reputation of our organization,” Cleveland executive VP of football operations Sashi Brown said in early February. “His status with our team will be addressed when permitted by league rules. We will have no further comment at this time.”

How about a order of fries Johnny... Savior of The AggieLand!

One step closer to his true calling, that is hanging out in the clubhouse of some country club with aggsy buying him drinks and talking about that one game against Bama.

If he plays his cards right he might even be able to parlay it into a BBQ joint in College Station.

Is it just me or wouldn't it be awesome if Johnny showed up drunk, wearing a blonde wig, at a Trump rally with the BLM protesters at Cowboys stadium?

I'm just thinking of all the ways social media would implode......

Outside of Cam Newton and the Manning boys, can you name another great QB since 2000 that has come from a blue blood program and succeeded in the NFL? I am being generous when I call Auburn and Tennessee blue blood programs..

BTW I'm stealing this from Bill Parcells, he made this point a few years ago when Johnny was in the draft. Basically his thought was that QBs at major universities tend to think they are god's gift to the world, and don't have either the work ethic or the discipline to give what it takes to become a success in the NFL, most can't handle the pressure. Vince in my eyes is tops on that list.

Tom Brady......... Carson Palmer........ just saying.....
