Can't say it's a giant surprise, but Texas DL Zac Swanson has entered the transfer portal. He was a Rivals four-star prospect from the 2022 class out of Phoenix, but never really found his footing in Austin. In all, he appeared in 3 games for Texas on defense during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, but only played one snap (versus Rice) during the 2023 season. He played 14 total defensive snaps as a deep reserve in 2022. Obviously, this frees up a scholarship for addressing needs in the second transfer portal window.
