At least 18 people are believed to be dead from a mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine, Wednesday evening, multiple sources told ABC News.

Homeslice has 18 dead and 13 wounded. He's a reservist. A petroleum logiatic specialist. That's fancy democrat military words for "dude hauls fuel".
Taking a step back and being coldly objective-
31 casualties with 18 fatalities means he's fairly proficient with his weapon. Spray and pray idiots have high wounded count and low fatalities.
Apparently he went into a bowling alley, then left and drove to the south side of town and went to a bar.
It's being reported that over the summer he was checked into a mental hospital. Also alleged that two weeks ago he told medical staff he was talking to the voices in his head.
And now he's vanished. Poof. Probably into the woods. I doubt he's made it to the coast and hopped on a boat-- but who knows.

Military basic rifle marksmanship has awful consequences when used on unarmed civilians. I hope the Maine hunters have their rifles out and are protrcti g with law enforcement. This seems like a situation where he either shoots himself or a good guy with a gun stops the bad guy with a gun.

This isn't like what happened in Boston- Maine isn't concrete and buildings. Maine is timber and ponds and caves. They'll put helos up with FLIR tonight and scoure the countryside looking for this guy. Dude better find him a dry spot with some overhead cover so he doesn't show up on infrared. Temperatures won't get low enough to make him hypothermic for another few weeks so the cops don't have the elements working in heir favor.
I just don't see him getting that FAR away from the crime scene. No way he went back to the coast. That's a boundary and you dont want to be hemmed in along the coast line. Too much traffic to head back south toward Portland or Boston. Every cop along that route will be looking for him.
I think he goes north into the swamps or west into the White Mountains national forest of New Hampshire.

I think logically the bigger issue is not that we have guns. there's guns everywhere. It's just that they're so easy to acquire. Which isnt an issue for most of us, folks like me and you. But certain people with guns, well, they just plum dont need them because they cant handle the responsibility. And it's also really easy for those individuals to arm themselves
