In case you missed it last night ...
--- We'd put Neto Umeozulu as a "maybe" to sign today. He committed on Tuesday night but developed some cold feet on Wednesday night, per a UT source. Umeozulu took down mention of his Texas commitment from his Twitter page, which is never a great sign. Texas is working to get him back into the mix, but schools like Baylor (where he visited last week) are also making a hard charge.
--- I haven't heard anything definitive on LB Anthony Jones, but he too has taken down all mention of Texas from his social media accounts and he's gone silent as of last night. Common sense would seem to indicate that he will not be signing with Texas today.
--- Champ Lewis is another UT commit that will not sign today. He's looking to possibly sign in February, but will now take other visits in January.
--- News kind of leaked last night, but Texas is now very much in play for Westlake defensive end Ethan Burke. Westlake has a super early morning practice (they're on the field right now) and then Burke should announce his college decision. He's committed to Michigan, but we expect good news for Texas on this one at some point this morning, likely pretty early.
