Generally speaking. I saw someone mention in another thread that they thought this kid would start from day one. Talent wise how do they stack up?

Hopefully this goes well.

Quick update on Texas 2017 QB commit Sam Ehlinger. He met with doctors Monday and will have surgery Tuesday to repair the torn meniscus in his left knee. He'll probably be out 3-4 weeks with his return perhaps in time for Westlake's game at Vandergrift on Sept. 23.

Simple repair and he has his place set at the next level, no reason to rush back.

Didn't see that was already posted. Hope he heals up and is ready for college ball. But we all know how much of a competitor he is and I bet this is killing him. Hope he can make it back and have a strong senior season. Except if/when he plays us...

Geez, that sucks. He was the reason Westlake won that game. Definitely needs to take his time for his long term career. Westlake should still make the playoffs without him so yeah, no need to rush this.
