European River Cruise - Munich to Budapest

We are going on a European river cruise (our first) with some family and friends in early August from Munich to Budapest. Probable want to spend some time in Prauge before or after the cruise in addition to extra time in Munich and Budapest. Looking for some recomendations on what can't miss things to see and how many extra days to spend in each area.
