anybody want to own up to thinking ewers just didn't have it? or that sark needs to give up play calling duties (saw that stupid sh!t last week, for crying out loud)? or that pk was an awful hire that was only made bearable by the presence of gp last year? anybody want to claim those? i actually had a co-worker today-- a COACH that is supposed to know something about the game-- say "ewers missed just enough passes to where i still can't have high confidence in him". i said "whaaaaaaat exactly would he need to do for you to gain that confidence?"
ewers is special, fellas. that he wasn't able to work through rookie mistakes without the whole world ripping him is an indictment on us, the Texas fanbase.
Bo's rant illuminated the problems sark inherited, but some of you wanted to blame him for losing by a td or less to 4 top 10 teams in his second year of cleaning up that crap.
pk was always good. but he got here and had a walk-on at inside linebacker, and a coverted wr at safety. he didn't want that-- that was the best product he could put on the field at the time. it was the best meal he could cook given the ingredients.
so own it if you were dumb enough to call for malik or arch, or kvetch about who we should hire as the next coach or dc. you'll have chances for redemption-- things won't always be rosy.
