ewers, sark, pk apology thread

Brooks was a composite 4*
If I remember correctly I think Brooks was a 3* before his senior year. He committed early and our only competition was Texas State and UTSA. Then he had that remarkable season. But on signing day he was given a 4th star. I consider this Stan Drayton's parting gift to TX.

* oh btw Brooks senior year was the 8th ranked rushing season in Texas hs history just 4 yards Cedric Benson.*

He was a late bloomer from a small school for sure.

On defense I know these guys are 3*

Ford
Sweat
Sorrell

On offense I know these guys are 3*

Conner
Jones

That is 5. Not sure who the other two are. Ford and Sweat are for sure NFL draft picks. I feel like Jones and Conner could be on the OL. Sorrell may be a late pick.

All are very productive though for sure.
Burke would a 3 star that comes to mind. Has a long ways to go but can already see the NFL upside from him. 2 more offseason's in our S&C program and he's going to be a beast!.

Thanks for the post--good post--and I agree about PK and what he had to work with--that's pathetic that Herman didn't do a better job of recruiting than that.
I admit I've been very critical of Sark, and before last year PK, but he's getting the job done on defense.

I also have to admit that I'm still concerned about Worthy--I still think he's good but, unreliable and drops too many passes, and think that Mitchell and Sanders are better receivers--especially at crunch time.
I've been taking heat on this take, maybe it's deserved--and I really want to be wrong on this one. And, I've probably gone overboard about Worthy-We'll see how that goes the rest of the year.

I know some people really love Worthy--Ketchum is one of them, whose been drinking his bath water. He's got tremendous talent, but IMO he had underachieved.

I just want to see all the longhorn players live up to their potential this year and stick it to the rest of the league.
