How many issues does it take to get an ESPN OTL story on the Cowboy "culture" -- Elliott, Greg Hardy, Dez hit his mother, Joseph Randall was arrested for domestic violence. And that is just the current era of Cowboys. Are you scared of the NFL Mr. Bob Ley?

Hey, the Cowboys have programs in place to handle players like this.

Wait what? A Baylor rape apologist is condemning the Cowboys' culture?

(a) Bite me. When was I ever an "apologist" for rape? (b) 4 guys on the team for the last couple of years have been involved in domestic violence issues. I just want to know how many incidents it takes to gin up the national indignation.

I assumed it was tongue and cheek. The Cowboys absolutely have a toxic culture which has been well publicized. As far as the ramifications of that if you can't tell the difference between a college campus and an NFL organization then there is no point in moving forward with any analogy.

I would be all for the removal of Jerry though.

Wait - a culture accepting of domestic violence is acceptable at the NFL level? Am I missing your point? And btw - it was tongue in cheek. Just a little.

Absolutely it's acceptable at the NFL level. It's acceptable to the same point it's acceptable in society which is determined by the law. If EE is convicted he goes to jail. If not, he is a free man. NFL teams have no obligation to restrict their employment of football players deemed free by the law. Colleges absolutely have an obligation to their female students to protect them from potentially violent members of the student body even if the law has taken no action.

Your parallel with Baylor would make more sense if these players were attacking female members of the Cowboy organization. Not to mention the cover ups, which is an entirely other discussion not present in the Cowboys situation.

I WAS a diehard Cowboy fan.....but from 95 til now??? cant even make the playoffs some?....they beat all the give a shit out of me. It is so bad I havnt watched an NFL game in over 5 years. I dont even watch the super bowl commercials. Maybe if Jerra would do the decent thing and just die I might start again, but I doubt it.

Cowboys = Cleveland

Blame Bum Bright who sold it to him.He should have stated in the contract if the Cowboys had five losing seasons he would have to sell it.It would have saved the Cowboys and its fans a lot of misery.

Now it appears he "may" be innocent.

His lawyer released text messages between Elliott and his old lady where he's trying to dump her, and she threatens to ruin his career if he does.....

Did anybody bother to look at the available information? Such as the 911 call or the 4 witnesses?

She wants that nfl contract money. Girls can be so scandalous....

I heard the domestic violence phone call. She sounded a little calm for a girl who had been beaten for "5 days straight".......

If she made it up . . . then lock her up.

It's sounding more and more - based on what is now being revealed - that Elliott is innocent and she was just out to ruin him like what was revealed on the recordings. You're right - LOCK HER UP !
