Uh oh, now you've done it! Who knows you may be right. I need to see our receiving corps, rb corps and Defense in action before I could even begin to predict the outcome against any team.LOL it will be the only win you guys get this year against a team with "University of Texas" in the name.
I have no insight on the Miners this year (except for perhaps, misery). I live in El Paso and go to all of the home games that don't conflict with the Longhorns games. It doesn't really matter. As much as I like the UTEP Miners, they are still UTEP and ou is still ou. I predict ou covers the spread whatever it is.
Oh yeah I agree with beating UTEP I guess I'm more looking to see what OU shows in that game before I can even estimate what we may see when we play Ohio State the next week and then going forward.
Mark my words.......Okie lite is coming for you guys. Seriously, they are going to be on y'all like you have the last tooth brush in the state of Oklahoma. This might be the most talented "team" top to bottom, that I'm a MAN has ever had. Expect them to look like crap against Tulsa until late. He ain't showing anybody anything offensively. Okie lite will be playing it close to the best until they need it.
You may be right and I've been hearing they are talented. My real concern for OU is the wr position, at least early in the season. We have true freshman starting over underachieving redshirt seniors, one senior starting who has always showed promise and did produce a little down the stretch last year but for the most part hasn't cracked the lineup in 4 years, a couple of guys who transferred in that we hope work out. We had perhaps our most experienced receiver, a walk on go out for the season with an injury. And trust me, his 'experience' wasn't much to brag about, he had a couple hundred yards receiving. I'm kind of embarrassed that a football school like OU could look so lacking, at least on paper at one position. We'll need guys to step up big time to have a chance against Ohio State imo.
I feel good about the qb, OL and since the Oline is good if the rb position can just be average then it ought to be in pretty good shape. I'm just hoping we have some receiver step up BEFORE Ohio State and not AFTER like last year.
