Question for the Board: Does anyone here keep a cellar or a collection, or even buy wine that isn’t California or Texas wine?
I’m a Somm in NYC, and we had a super fancy Barolo tasting. The guy running it is the most influential wine critic of the 21st century, and he was lamenting that there’s only a specific market for these rare European wines, and the population who does like it is dying off. I think that statement is a little overblown.
But, what do y’all think? What do you drink?
