Out here in the "not called Houston or Dallas" Texas, most of us cheer for both until they play each other. I don't hate the Cowboys, I'm just not a member of that cult.
Outside of Houston, its all Cowboys fans in Texas. I'd say in Houston, its about 60-40 Texans fans. The Cowboys have a very large following, even in Houston. Same with Longhorn fans, who dominate the state over aggy.
Not entirely accurate. I don't live in Houston, thank God, and am a Texans fan. Undoubtedly the majority of Texas is Cowboys fans but there are a lot more rooting for Texans than you are giving credit for. JJ's Harvey fundraising brought a lot of new publicity too. It isn't just the ole Oilers converts such as myself anymore.

I agree with everything that you said, except wanting a Cowboys/Texans Super Bowl. I'd rather see the Cowboys face off against the Patriots, Steelers, Chiefs, Ravens, or Chargers. That said, I don't ever see the Texans making it to a SB. They just have a losing culture and it doesn't seem to be in their DNA, and they're a hard team to like because of their fans. I've never been a fan of the Texans and never will be.

Actually I think there’s more cowfans in Houston than Texans. I feel like MM but switch it around. We have so many cowboy fans that we have to hear about those rings from 20+ years ago. I don’t necessarily hate the team just the fans. They actually go to Texan games with their jerseys on when we don’t even play them. This city is full of them I can tolerate some just not all. Glad we beat them this year. Only thing I can agree with MM about the Texans is their SB chances. I hate our coach.
I feel they same way about Texans fans that you do about Cowboys fans for the same reasons. Texans fans talk non-stop trash, but their team hasn't done a damn thing. Texans fans like to bag on the Cowboys for winning their last Super Bowl 20+ years ago, but what's their excuse for not even coming close to even getting to a SB? As a lifelong Cowboys fan myself I never knew Super Bowl championships had an expiration date on them. Don’t forget the 23 NFC East championships they have!
