.....another one of the all time great football players passes away. I remember watching him play for the Broncos when I was a kid. He played during a period where the game was brutal and pretty much any type hit on a running back was fair play.
I had the privilege of meeting him in the late 70’s at a football camp I attended in Colorado. One would have thought we had know each other for years. He had such an outgoing and gregarious personality. He sure as heck left a lifelong impression on me.
Another one of my childhood hero passes on......there are not many left.
