YES, goodness yes. If the coach doesn't win, fire him dude! What do you think this is? We overlooked Charlie's first 2 garbage years, but 3 years and a loss to damn 1-8 Kansas is too damn much. Look - the next coach will get Charlie Stronged if he Charlie Strongs and has 3 years of =< 6 wins. If you win 8 wins in a season you probably won't get Charlie Stronged.
If Herman comes in and loses 20 (possibly 21) games in 3 seasons, then he'll likely be fired. We can speculate on who we think will be good all day long, and that's what football fans do! But if it turns out they're not good, then it's on to the next one.
If our next coach sucks like Charlie Strong, I'm going to just say lets keep him. I'd rather be right and lose than admit I was wrong. 
Let's ask this question. Has there been any coach for UT that has coached here for 3 years with a record of 6-6, 5-7 and 5-6 (so far)? To me you should be progressing not regressing.
So rightly or wrongly, it appears as though Charlie is going to be given his walking papers after the TCU game. So who to bring in as the future UT head coach?

Of course. Any coach that is brought in is expected to turn things around. It's obvious that you don't like Herman, but you still haven't said who your can't miss hire would be? Texas has to hire someone, who should it be? Step up and tell us who your guy is, FB.
That's my question as well. I've been told that the new coach has to win 9-10 next year. So if Herrman doesn't do that is he fired???
You left out the 5 mil per year part. I'm not going to lie, I'm jealous of Strong's bank account regardless of what kind of coach he is.
It's worth a call to his agent. Don't think he'll be interested in leaving Clemson though. The reality is, Texas can't get anyone they want. I wish that were the case, but people aren't exactly lining up to take the job. Hell, Charlie Strong was what, about 5th down the list after several coaches that were contacted had no interest three years ago?
Its simple MM! We buy him! You pay for what you get nowdays in College coaches as we have found out.

I would love Dabo to be at Texas. Just don't think it will happen.
It may not. I think it's crazy not to call though. He loses a lot off of this years team and Texas could give him a nice bump in pay. I look at it this way. Bama wouldn't have Saban if someone hadn't called. Don't just assume someone will say no.
I should have made my choices for coach more obvious than I did. I would love to get Peterson, Swinney, maybe even a Fedora and I would take Fuente from VT right now....but I will take Herman and I think he is going to do great. I really do. I would hope Texas will do their homework and get the right fit. The staff at the end of the day is the biggest thing for me. Makes all the difference in the world who is on the staff. That is why I was put off by Strong before he was even here....the staff he put in place was awful.
Yeah I'm along the same lines as you. I'd love to have Petrrson it Dabo. I know supposedly there are personal reasons that might cause Peterson not to come. A boat load of money changes minds sometimes.
I know I'm in the minority but I think Gus Malzahn would kill,it at Texas. I don't dislike Herrman at all. Just think there are better guys who might be avaliable.

Your thinking is exactly why aggy will always be the suck. In 3 years this Texas team is not one iota better than when he came on campus....not in wins and losses.....people say Texas has a lot of talent but I have yet to see it play up to it. Texas losing to kansas (especially this year) is unacceptable and it should be unacceptable. Kansas is the worst FBS team in the country give or take 1 or 2 teams.
Charlie has been on the hot seat since the end of his first season. Half of your fanbase wanted him gone mid season last year.
I may be wrong, but if I was a proven commodity I wouldn't go anywhere near that environment. Herman is the guy....huge upside and he's not firmly entrenched in a winning program. (yet) If it doesn't work in Austin after 2 years he can always go back to a mid major and start over.
No, that isn't true. The level of talent on campus is a lot lot better, the record isn't better that would indicate that coaching is going backwards.
