Need an attorney rec. I have a buddy who was in dispute with his HOA for according to him, bullshit, noise and parking violations. They came to an agreement and the HOA sent him a notice of nonsuit.
However they now want $10k in attorney fees and locked him out of his portal to pay his HOA dues. April 2024, he received a notice of filing of lien assessment. He's been trying to pay his HOA dues ($3000) but they won't accept anything unless it's the full amount.
I feel like they are preparing to foreclose but don't have the full story so my only recommendation is to speak to an attorney about their so called attorney fees and make sure his home doesn't get foreclosed on.
