Orangebloods can confirm that former Baylor recruit Devin Duvernay is expected to Texas on Monday. ESPN's Getty Hamilton was the first to report Duvernay's visit.
According to my sources, Duvernay recently had conversations with members of Texas' staff, and he informed them he intended to visit on Monday. Obviously, like anything in recruiting, situations can change overnight. However, visiting UT's campus was on Duvernay's agenda as of Friday afternoon.
Duvernay wanted to be released from his national letter of intent after the recent scandal at Baylor. While attempting to file release papers, the family discovered Baylor never submitted Duvernay's NLI, which made he eligible to sign with any school.
His twin brother, Donovan Duvernay, signed with Baylor in February. Baylor did send in his NLI, and the family has reportedly submitted paperwork to request Donovan's release. From what I was told, Texas is currently focused on signing Devin since he is available. In other words, Texas is not worried about a package deal at this moment.
