1) Can explosive players lose some of that explosiveness by protecting the ball? It definitely would be more difficult to be agile and speedy with two hands wrapped around the ball instead of 1
2) How "correctible" is fumbling? Anyone have any data on guys that had a fumble issue but got it fixed?
3) Fumbling really feels like the 1 true unforgivable sin for a RB. Even if they are statistically rare, a few "key" fumbles seems like it could taint a coaches trust in you.

Obviously, I have Blue on my mind. At the spring game in 2022 I texted some buddies and said "to my eyes, Blue is our most explosive back". But I don't really care how explosive you are, you can't cough up the football. There is no way he's been fumbling a bunch in practice otherwise he wouldn't be RB1.

Interested to see how this plays out. His only antidote is to not fumble in games anymore. Like we saw in the 2022 Tech game w/Bijan, 1 fumble can lead to a subsequent loss. (I know there were many other plays in that game...but Bijan fumbled in OT and we immediately lost the game after).

Up by 2 against OU. 7 minutes left. 1st and 10 at our 25. Blue has 17 carries for 95 yards. Are we feeding him the rock in confidence?
