Garner State Park

I will be going to Garner for the first time in 20 year next weekend. Myself and family got 3 cabins.

I keep hearing that the checkin process can take HOURS.

Any thoughts on the best way to deal with this?

I have 4 and 6 year daughters and the thought of having them miserable in the parking lot in 95 degree sun for 4 hours scares the hell out of me.

Any advice is appreciated.
