Nice hire. He's been turning down jobs for so long, I forgot he was out there. Its always about the hot new guys. He lost a bit of his shine in recent years as the hot new option, but seems like a really good fit. Should bring the D back to Georgia.

Seems like it could work out really well but could also be quite a bust (of course that's true for any coordinator hired as HC). I just wonder exactly how great of a DC he is. He must be very good in several respects for Saban to have kept him around for so long, but at the same time, Saban's fingerprints are all over that D.

He definitely has a good reputation. I just wonder how much of that is due to Saban's brilliance reflecting off of him.

Though you probably can't help but be pretty damn good when you've learned about defense under Nick Saban for seven years...
