The Big 12 has become such a weak conference that the teams anointed for playoff contention must be propped up at any means necessary. Check Kansas vs Tcu... Kansas will not be able to buy a call.

Four 16 team conferences with winners going to playoff will solve this problem as the need to impress a committee will disappear like a fart in the wind.

Penalties osu 2-20 tex 8-73

Most of ours came on big plays to kill drives.

That’s the way it is in every league. That’s the problem with the system. It doesn’t pay to have a good conference. Just one or two good teams. Refs know it conference officials know it.

There are 3 Big 12 teams in the top 10. Not a weak conference this year.

No,the travel time tor student-athletes and fans could be excessive And $$$$$.
Travel and fans are the last things considered in realignment. If travel was a consideration West Virginia and Rutgers wouldn’t be in the conferences they are in. The big 12 doesn’t have their shit together well enough to do this but USF and UCF are two programs that would fit nicely in a power 5 conference.

9:30 p.m. PAC12 kickoffs would make you miss 11:30 a.m. BIG12 kickoffs.
I don’t think the 930 kicks would be that big an issue. If we went to the pac odds are other schools from the big 12 are coming to. None of those games home or road would start at 930. Not every road game when we did go out west would start at 930. It would probably end up being 1 maybe 2 games a year. Maybe not ideal but not awful either. To me the big 10/ACC make most sense though.

PAC 12 wouldn't be that bad if it was a 4 team pod system. Ok, ok st, UT & TT or TCU to form a south pod. Az, ASU, CU & Utah to form a mountain pod. USC, UCLA, STAN & CAL to form a pacific pod. OR, OSU, UW & WSU to form a pacific Nw pod. Play everyone in the south and mountain. Play 1 game in the Pacific and play 1 in the Pacific Nw. That would be 9 conference games played and 3 out of conference. The winner of each pod plays in a semi final game. The winner plays for the conference championship.
