I know some people won't agree with me but I just don't like the way the Warriors play. I still think they're mostly a soft team. They live and die by their 3 point game. When you slow down their 3 game they're just another good team, nothing more. In five of the 6 games they lost to OKC and the Cavs their 3 ball was terrible and they lost by a total of 111 points. In game 7 they were 10 for 21 in the first half, 5 for 24 in the second half. They had 49 points at halftime 40 in the second half, and only 13 in the fourth quarter. Remember this was the highest scoring team in the league, in fact their ppg average was the best in a long time. But in the four games they last they only broke 100 once and that only got that because of garbage time in game 6. What was the game winning shot? A three pointer over the man who is the best three point shooter in the world. There was still 45 seconds left. Pretty boy missed two three point shots, and then Spaights missed one and the game was over. Those who live by the sword shall die for the sword. And to top it all off until the game winning shot the Cavs 3 point game was terrible. I don't think the Warriors even care about scoring in the paint, making jump shots. They talk about what a great defensive player Draymond Green but if you watch closely he steps on the other players foot as he is getting ready to pivot or jump. This can do serious damage to a players foot. Players in the NBA have been doing it for years, Isiah Thomas was legendary for it. That alone will cause a player to lose all respect from other players and dyk that Draymond is probably the least liked player in the league? When you keep him from doing that than you will realize he is nowhere near the defensive forward that Kawhi Leonard is. He let that championship go to his head started talking like he was the best forward in the league. You think Lebron didn't notice that? After blatantly kicking Steven Adams in the n*** not once but twice, and not get suspended he started thinking he was one of the privileged ones with the zebras. He's not. Dyk that Steven Adams got contusions from those shots? Now was the suspension for the mild shot to the groin he gave to Lebron warranted? No. Did he get suspended because it was Lebron? Yes. Did it come at the worst possible time? Yes. But the NBA has let Draymond Green know that he will no longer be tolerated for doing it. He will have to find another way to play offense. Obviously I don't like Draymond Green maybe to much .Look I do understand about bb and fb are competitive, mean games. But when you do things like that flagrantly and you start thinking the league won't do anything to you then I resent the he** out of players like that. Yes, he is a good player no question he played great this year. But some of the tv people have said if he didn't play on a team like the Warriors he would be just another good player, and some of these comments have come from other players. And finally what does it say about Draymond Green when Tyronn Lue said that they were willing to let him shoot the three ball all game long in fact that's what they did. They were more concerned about the splash brothers in fact Klay Thompson was 2 for 10. DG had a phenomenal game but they still lost. Still think he's that special?
I've never understood all this universal Steph Curry love. He's been an incredible 3 point shooter the last two years, made over 400 this year. But within 23 feet he's nothing special. Yes he gets assists but in their offense everybody does. He gets some steals I'll give him that. But he can't guard anybody I can think of at least 6 All Star guards who can guard better than Curry and one of them was the man he went up against in these finals, Kyrie Iving. And I'm tired of his wife and her social media crap, and constantly getting on camera personality. Every time the Warriors win they would show her and I would sigh and say there she is again. Walt Frazier, an NBA hall of famer, said that Steph Curry will never have a season like this again because nobody can do that twice. I agree. How did the Warriors turn into the Magic/Kareem Lakers or the Jordan Bulls overnight? Ever thought about that? How did Steph Curry turn himself into Michael who? The Cavs have given the NBA the blue print. Make them play physical make them shoot 2 pointers. I am certain they wont even win 60 games next year let alone 73. I have no doubt that the Spurs and OKC have better teams than the Warriors and if either team can add just one good player next year both teams will finish ahead of them.
Athletes are known for manufacturing rage Michael Jordan was legendary for it. And in this Steph Curry love Lebron was furious that he was a unanimous choice. And I think of the legends who were multi MVP winners, Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Larry, MJ, Tim, and Lebron and none of them were ever a unanimous choice not even Michael. I think Lebron was out to show everybody and especially Steph Curry, that he was still the best player in the world and that he did. He had phenomenal numbers last year in the Finals but last year Kyrie and Kevin Love didn't play and Imam Shumpert was hurt. This year they were healthy and I doubt if any player in NBA history had a Finals like this not even Michael. West tx has already talked about his numbers there's no need to say it again. As they said a million times they mentioned that Lebron is from the Cleveland area and that the city had gone more than 50 years without a championship there was even a 30 for 30 documentary about it. I realize now that Lebron was sincere about bringing a title to his hometown and ending the drought. I was wrong for doubting him, he was sincere and like everyone else has said this was his greatest accomplishment.
And he is still King James
