As a nation we are greatly in need of a thoughtful and respectful debate on the serious issues that face us as a nation. And we would greatly benefit being lead by well spoken, thougthful and studied statesmen from every part of the political spectrum, preferably led/moderated by an objective and professional media.
Instead we get Trump with all his personal faults, his runaway unfiltered mouth, zero humility, and either very little grasp of the issues, or very little ability to articulate thoughtful positions (or both), and Hilary who is like a cyborg politician, created and sculpted by lobbyists, special interests, people she owes favors to or promised things to or owes due to the hundreds of millions her and Bill have been paid in their 30 years in politics, and other handlers Who long ago lost any heart/personality/character and merely has been programmed with talking points, soundbites and political quips and will say anything to get to the top.
So now we get another month of talking about what a disgusting person Trump is, and what a dishonest scheming person Hillary is, and none of the issue that are serious and face the nation will get hardly a minute.
Once again America takes a step closer to a dark future.
But honestly these are exactly the candidates our selfy-obsessed, sexting, short-attention-span, Wiki-know-it-all, Kardashian-culture deserve.
What happened to city on a hill ?
Wouldn't it be awesome if both Trump and Hillary resigned and we got to hear an actual debate on ideas and direction from Pence and Kaine and choose between actual leaders ?
