I remember him when he was at Iowa St. He was an epic failure there. Basically a great coach that when he landed the big time job just terribly underperformed. Thinking about Shaka here at Texas. I am sure one could compile a pretty lengthy list of similar coaches being successful at smaller schools and blow it when they land the big one.
On the other hand there are those that make the big move and flourish. Crazy to think about. I believe if I were CDC I would go with a coach that has won big everywhere he has been and has coached at a big time program. I will admit I have no idea of the candidates that fit this bill.
