To move away from that ClusterFk with Kansas and hopefully we will do better against TCU, I read that some players who were injured are ready to go, maybe they learned to tackle this week, of our OL doesn't improve , well Sam's gonna have to take his chances,,, it will be a test to see if Herman has rebounded and fix some things, if not then its time for a change, Seems like all our Probs begn with that second Bama games , it was a turning point when we lost and went into a death Spiral, we need to pull out and get the Majic again, if we change I hope we don't get another Sun Belt type Coach, Strong then Herman, I have learned that you pay for what ya get and somtime's not...All the old good coaches are gone now and we have to wade thru the wannabe's now... Me? Well, I would have to go with Franklin, I liked how he cleaned Penn State up and made them a Team again after the Scandal, but that's just a old man talking out loud! Or maybe we could buy whomever we wanted....

I don't know what to think of TCU. They have weeks where they score points and weeks where they don't. They have weeks where they play solid D and weeks where they give up 50. Kind of like us, lol.

I expect a close game. I expect us to do some dumb shit schematically and fundamentally so it will be close one way or another. I do like that we're starting to get healthy.

Sam is 1000% going to have to throw the ball to receivers in the middle of the field. That isn't something that gets me very excited. I fully expect Patterson to bring 3-5 man pressures (no reason for more than 5 as we can't block shit anyway) and bracket the outside receivers. They will play a sideline technique with 1-3 man over or under. They'll mix up the looks between their over the top and underneath coverage. I don't expect the sidelines to be an option on outs or comebacks. Slants, digs, dig/curl, drags, etc. are going to be the way to go. Creating levels with inside routes would be the best option to create separation and confusion within their LBs/S.

I'm sure Cumbie is figuring out a way to get Reagor in space because we can't freaking tackle. He'll have a big game. Also, the one thing TCU can do is run the football. I fully expect their RB to have 4-5 runs of 15+ and easily surpass 100 yards. Can their QB make just enough plays?

I'm a glutton for setting my self up to be disappointed and because so, I'm going to say...

Texas 38
TCU 27

The jig is up. There's enough film out there for defensive coaches to have figured out that our OLine has more holes than a Dutch brothel. Patterson is going to go Purple Wizard on us and blitz us like Panzers rolling into Poland.
This will force us to leave a TE in at the line and also force us to keep a RB in the backfield to pick up whatever squirters get past the fatties. Two less receivers running routes means Sam has less options and we all know what happens when Sam can't find anyone open.

This could be a long walk through a flooded rice paddy.

Man, I hear ya but I don't see TCU needing to bring 6 man pressures very often. If they do I think that actually works in our favor. CJ, Eagles, Duv, etc. can either beat man or at the very least win a jump ball.

I think TCU will twist and stunt and occasionally bring a 5th guy to hurry Sam into a decision.

You guys are worried about TCU? After last week's games I figured that TCU was the easiest game left on OU's schedule. And they play in Norman. Will be shocked if Horns lose this one.

It's not true without proof...............
Seriously, I've got some photos that will straight up get me kicked off this site if any of y'all report it. Like--- freaky deaky stuff. Now I trust the regulars to keep it zipped---- it's the lurkers and trolls I don't trust. If I had my druthers, I'd have a BAD ASS photo on there but- very explicit and not safe for anywhere-- let alone work.

I call shenanigans..........without proof........... ;)

Did you happen to see how we fared against KU in a night game in Austin?

There's not a game left on the schedule that we can take for granted at this point.

True. TCU has two elite weapons on offense (and the return game) to go along with the best defense Texas will face this season. This will be a dogfight.

There has to be a story here. I'm waiting....
There was a school shooting and some stupid internet twunt with a blue star next to her name started talking about "if this kid had a shotgun instead on an AR15 the 'bullets' wouldn't have hurt as much."

So I basically told her she was a stupid twunt and she had no clue what she was talking about. She then said she had a blue star on Twitter because she knew more than I did--- and at that point I asked her to consider coming over to my house and allowing me to shoot her with an AR15 (5.56)round and then a 12ga shotgun round and the she could compare notes as to "which one hurts the mostest "

Twitter didn't think that was funny.

I'm expecting a similar approach on Defense to the La Tech game. TCU has 1 dynamic WR - bracket him and keep Raegor out of the game for the most part. Otherwise, TCUs best players are RBs. Focus on the stopping the run. Force an inconsistent QB to have to pass the ball, get a few INTs.

If we can be somewhat sound on Defense I think Sam and our O can outscore TCU. Survive this Saturday and hopefully have a serious regroup and reset on defense (including getting some hurt players back).
