Given the thread in the 40 that inevitably went political I thought I’d post here rather than post there and get a suspension.
It never fails that any time there is a widely publicized incident you hear takes like “just do something” or, “at least make them harder to get”, or “why do your politicians do nothing?”.
In 2022, after Uvalde, Congress passed and Biden signed the “Bi partisan Safer Communities Act” into law which expanded background checks. It makes you wonder if folks pay any attention at all to anything. They “did something”, they “made guns harder to get”. We have a Bill of Rights, and guns are constitutionally protected just as your speech is protected.
Bad people break laws. Sick people break laws. The world is imperfect.
