Today Tristan would have been 11 years old. Nine (9) years without one of my bright shining lights.
Drowning deaths are preventable, I just didn't learn this lesson early enough. I also didn't realize the wreckage that would come. Divorce. Depressed/suicidal teenaged daughter. My own struggles with depression.
Somehow through all this, Miss Tristan Foundation continues to provide water safety training for young children and CPR training for parents. In partnership with the Archdiocese of San Antonio schools and Pre-K-4-SA, Miss Tristan provides services for about 2,500 children per year.
