I love this Muslimah!
[SLANG TRANSLATION FOR THE OLDS = YOU LEARNED THE HARD WAY BUDDY"]
Ilhan Omar appeared on the Deconstructed podcast Friday to discuss what happened with regard to Donald Trump and the 2020 Presidential election. She summed it up simply: “He effed around and found out, I guess.”
Representative Omar, who did win re-election to her congressional seat, went on to say that she believes “You get what you organize for,” and, “We have been massively organizing our state and district for this turnout.”
What happened with Trump, though? Donald Trump attacked Omar at rallies, saying that she hates America, and declaring that his opposition to her would result in Minnesotans flocking to him.
Asked how he could have been so wrong, to think that he would take Minnesota easily and she would be repudiated, when the result in the state was the exact opposite, Omar responded. “He effed around and found out, I guess.”

Trump has been attacking Omar, along with the three other women who are collectively often referred to as “the squad” — Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York. All Democrats, the four have opposed Trump strongly, and he has repeatedly lashed out at them and their vision of America.
As recently as the Friday before election day, Trump was tweeting that Ilhan Omar, along with shutdowns for COVID-19 and protests for racial justice, would guarantee that he’d win Minnesota. At the time of this writing, the numbers reported by the New York Times show Trump receiving45.4% of the presidential votes in that state (compared to Joe Biden’s 52.5%) and Ilhan Omar receiving 64.5% of the votes in her district for her congressional seat.
