I’m clearly missing something, but someone explain this to me. As I was watching CNN earlier, a guest (he was a liberal for context) noted that 98% of the Mueller has been provided in an un-redacted version and the 2% that has been redacted is dictated by longstanding DOJ policy and federal law to protect third parties, grand jury information, ongoing investigations, and intelligence gathering sources and methods. Federal law – passed by Congress – requires that grand jury information not be disclosed. He didn’t understand why the Dems chose this issue to focus on when there were other possible items that made more sense such as declining to appear in front of them to be questioned.
In addition, seven years ago when Republicans held Holder in contempt over the fast and furious documents he was withholding, Dems lost their collective minds.
I get it, it’s generally politics and it’s often your side is wrong and but I can’t see how he could be held in contempt over this. Not trying to start a huge argument here, though I know that’s where it will go, but someone explain exactly what Barr has done to be held in contempt or is this one more step in trying to get Trump impeached?
