I get the numbers. But like I've said on here for 2 and a half years-------- my biggest complaint about charlie was that he did not have enough head coaching experience to handle the bright lights at a place like Texas. He's a mid-major coach.

Herman is Charlie 2.0 resume wise. It would be hypocritical of me NOT to object to hiring Herman because of his limited resume.

I understand that point. But, Herman is a Texas guy (grad assistant here under Brown). We gave Strong a chance. We shouldn't keep Strong, because he isn't working out, and avoid hiring Herman. I do not understand the idea of staying in a quagmire because we cannot get a Saban or a Meyer to come here. Let's be a University invested in winning. Otherwise, go play intramurals.

I'm a lot of things...... but I do my best never to be a hypocrit.

I'm with you, but I look at it as a gamble, and I like what I see out of Herman. There is no way we are getting an NFL coach right now. We finish our season in less than 2 weeks and must follow up with recruiting and a bowl game. The earliest we pull in our dream NFL coach is January. That would kill our recruiting.

Herman does have another thing going for him, he is recruiting the same kids that Charlie is recruiting, that means there is a relationship already in place. We might lose a few kids if Charlie leaves, but Herman is going to make up for it as well.
