Found the below quote from Herman's presser today very illuminating - feel it sheds light on a lot of the conversations we've had about why we do some of the things we do every Saturday.

"The goal of the offense is not to score as many points as you can, the goal is to score at least one more point than the opponent."

I don't think this was coach speak - I believe this is how he truly views offense. I think Herman really coaches a lot on offense with his defense in mind, and not to just light up the scoreboard. I don't think we will ever see him sling the ball all over the field like an OU or Tech.

Exhibit B: KSU

We could have scored more points then we did in either contest - Coach didn't feel we needed too.

I haven't decided if I'm in alignment here.
