I’ve been noticing over the last several months that a significant number of posts on many 5+ page discussion threads, are just two or three OPs bitching at each other, with little or no value-add content past their 2nd or 3rd post. A junior metrics-driven website data analyst would say that’s good, as it boosts the vanity engagement and content creation numbers. But more sophisticated data folks will tell you that the numbers that matter for long term performance, revenue and even viability will start to decline, when content becomes too predictable/repetitive, has low value, and is “uninteresting” or unrelated to why the majority of users visit the site.
Might think about curbing the cat fights. I’d never suggest censorship ala Loochie, but even bars throw out the trash when they start fighting each other.
